Mission Statement
To continually strive for full employment among Metis people in Alberta by supporting and investing in individuals who seek to attain skills and secure opportunities necessary for self-sufficiency.
How can the Labour Market Development Unit (LMDU) or a Service Needs Determination Clerk (SNDC) can help you by...
-assisting stakeholders in the zone through feedback on proposal and project development;
-ensuring detailed budgets are appropriate to the needs of the project;
-ensuring accurate project management through ongoing monitoring and evaluation;
-collecting and interpreting Labour market information related to planning and/or implementation of client action plans;
-acting as liaison between industry, employer community, training institutions and/or the delivery agent;
-identifying alternative funding sources requited for project success;
-providing referral to Employment Assistance Services or educational institutions;
-identifying/creation Labour market partnerships as appropriate.
How to access our services
Access to the LMD program begins by contacting the LMDO or an Employment Assistance Service provider in your zone. LMD or EAS staff members are available to assist you with your application if it is required. The individual handling your file will be requesting information based on the LMD program criteria.

-supported job search;
-Labour exchange services;
-other employment related services.

Your Role as a Client
As an individual applicant you will be responsible for demonstrating that you...
-are unemployed or facing employment barriers;
-are an off-settlement Metis;
Eger luxury hotels-are in need of out assistance;
-have explored other funding options;
-are prepared to complete a client action plan;
-are committed to undertake and successfully complete your training
-completed an application for funding at least 8 weeks prior to the tentative start date of your program.
Regional President Ephram Bouvier
This is an elected position by the Zone III membership. He represents the Metis in Zone III in social, economic, governmental affairs, and sits on the MNAA Provincial Board.
Regional Vice President Marlene Lanz
This is an elected position by the Zone III membership. This position assists the President, and represents the President in his absence, and sits on the MNAA Provincial Board.
Zone III takes in most of Southern Alberta from Morningside south.
Regional Council
Zone III Regional Council consists of the Presidents of the Locals, they are elected by the Local membership. They assist the President in making Zone decisions.

-To identify the services available to Metis people in their own community;
-To assist the Metis people in all their endeavors;
-To act as a liaison between the Metis Nation of Alberta, Framework Action Center and Government Departments;

-To assist the Locals in reaching their goals and objectives;
-To assist the Metis people to achieve social and economic self-sufficiency;
-Youth support services;
-Women support services;
-Senior support services;
-Men support services.
