Yahoo.

Among the first and an unquestionably popular search engine. Drill down through endless categories until you find what you want, or do word searches. The "drilldowns" (high-level categories leading to successive, more narrowly defined, subcategories) seem to be Yahoo's strength. **[BUSINESS CATEGORIES]
Excite.
- This searching facility seems easier and more intuitive to navigate and use than some of the others. Plus it allows "context" searches based on plain English phrases you enter instead of just keywords. Excite also has a "newstracker" bringing you access to 300+ newspapers and magazines. ***[BUSINESS CATEGORIES]
AltaVista.
