Robert Webber WORSHIP IN A POSTMODERN WORLD The Theology and Practice of Worship We are living in a time of immense change. The shift from modernity to post modern times is forcing us to re-think everything in the theological disciplines. This seminar will focus on the shift into post modernity and look in particular at the theology and practice of worship. This is not a course on contemporary worship as in 1960 - 1990, but in a worship that hearkens back to the worship of the ancient church, but with a contemporary flair. Robert Webber is Professor of Ministry at Northern Seminary in Lombard, Illinois and President of the Institute For Worship Studies. Webber has lectured on worship in nearly every denomination and fellowship, and has authored or edited more than twenty books on worship, including The Complete Library of Christian Worship (8 vols). His most recent books include Planning Blended Worship (Abingdon, 1998), Ancient-Future Faith (Baker, 1999), and The Prymer (Paraclete, 2000).
